How do you guys cook your spaghetti? Do you just use the off-the-shelve sauce or DIY your own sauce? I’m lazy to make my own sauce so I always have a handy bottle of Prego sauce in the fridge for some quick spaghetti dish. I use the sauce as the base, and I can customize the addon ingredient as I wish.
I usually like to use capsicum which really goes well with many type of spaghetti sauce. If I wanted more greens, I will use broccoli or celery. And some onions for the extra flavor.

To make it more wholesome, I added some Enoki mushroom.

Of course I will need some meat, and bacons is by far the best choice because it is easy to prepare. You don’t have to season your meat, peel the prawn or chop the chicken or mince the beef, and you can store bacons in freezer for a long time ready to be used anytime. Also mainly bacons taste wonderful by itself and the oil can intensify the sauce even more.

Stir-fry the bacons in some olive oil until almost crispy. If you prefer the bacons to be crispy, you can set aside the bacons before throwing in the rest of the ingredients, otherwise you can add the rest of the ingredients and stir-fry together.
Then add in the Prego sauce and any other dried herbs that you like. For me I use Oregano. Season it with salt and pepper.

Serve it on a plate and sprinkle some Parmesan cheese and parsley on top.
