I honestly have no idea the name of this yet another Chinese preserved vegetable. Previously, I cooked another pork dish using a different type of preserved vegetable. A good hainanese chicken rice must have great garlic chili sauce, tasty rice and wonderful chicken/roast pork/bbq pork to make a heavenly eating and aftermath experience. I have been eating at this particular hainanese chicken rice shop WEEKLY!!! for the past 2 years because this got to be one of the best all rounder in PJ area. Not much cooking for the past few weeks due to my marriage super busy. Now when everything was over, cooking time is back. As part of the marriage tradition, my new in-law gave me a huge chunk of siu-yok (roast pork).
