19JulWhat they serve you at Premier Suite?

I have been absence in this blog for awhile coz’ it has been a busy and emotional 2 weeks due to all the decision, planning, the paper work… and finally it is over now! My wife have decided to finally go for the surgery in order to cure something that we have ignored for 10+ years.

We checked into Damansara Specialist the day before the surgery, and despite being properly covered by ING for up to RM350! per night, we failed to secure a single room because it was all fully booked. So we requested to be put on waiting list and settle for a twin sharing room.

And you get for what you pay, at RM160 per night, you get to stay at this corner of the room. Almost bare, a 17in LCD for Astro, a manual bed, a chair and a almost fall off lighting on top…

The next day, we still on the waiting list and is time for the surgery. It went smoothly and in less than an hour my wife was returned to the room feeling real drowsy and nausea from the anesthetic. Trying to get some rest, but the other roommate was so noisy with their Astro, moving around and visitation.

Seeing that wife couldn’t get a good rest, I charged into the nurse counter to check on the single room… And we still on the waiting list for a RM300 single room!!!

It was then I decided to just opt for the Single Premium Suite at RM400 per night and requested for a immediate transfer.

As I walk into the Premier ward, this is what I saw…

And the room itself is huge.. with a long sofa (perfect for me to stay overnight), decorated and mirror wall, spotlight, fully automatic bed, WIFI, 32in LCD, DVD player, minibar, closet and etc…

It was such a huge different… this is what I call a real room for recovery! :D

And a hotel class toilet…

I would expect the food being serve to the patients in Premier ward are of a different class like steak? (joking!).. but sadly nope.. it seems to be the same for everyone in the hospital…:p

But surprisingly, the food actually tasted not bad! You get to choose a starter, a main, a dessert and a drink every meal. The food came packed and sealed nicely.

Every morning breakfast is served and free newspaper is delivered to you. Surfing internet on the Iphone while drinking coffee, ahh.. it was actually quite enjoyable staying there and we ended up staying there for an extra day..:P

My wife now is recovering great at home and we are glad this is all finally over… Thank you to those that came to the hospital to visit my wife.
