My big day is coming and I had just confirmed my banquet with Dynasty Dragon Seafood Restaurant last week. Over the years, I have been to numerous wedding banquet of friends and family, while they usually serve better than your typical ‘tai-chow’ food, but in general it is nothing fantastic and is forgetful. I once vowed that when it is time for myself, I’m going to make it a special one. The time is now!

Most of the time, the feast is for your friends and families while the main actor and actress of the day is busy walking around attending to guests, performing all sort of traditional “ritual” and stuffs.. missing out on the food. That is not going to happen for me.. Ima’ going to sit all night long and eat all the good stuffs I ordered!

While discussing on the package offered by the restaurant manager, I made lots of changes and upgrades because it doesn’t offer the stuff I need even on the higher end packages. In the end, we scrap all the package idea and customize the dish one by one creating my own menu. I stressed and forced the manager to promise me that I expected nothing ordinary and every dish serve must be unique and highest quality in terms of taste and presentation. And the fact that many members in my family are in the food industry and some were chef themselves further helped me pass the message across.

It is a small ceremony and I don’t intent to make it big… a private room with a couple of tables for very close relative and some friends that will be involved in the whole wedding process. So, if I’m unable to invite you to my big day please forgive me.
