The auspicious date of the century, 8th of August 2008, in short 08/08/08, has finally arrived. This date is so special that you never get any better date in the last few centuries and probably not another few centuries. I have waited more than 3 years for this day to come in order to set my registration of marriage to be on this day.
The response is so overwhelming (500++ couples) that the temple that is organizing this event has to split us into 3 sessions with us being in the morning. A stage is specially built for all the 230 new couples in the morning for the purpose of group photo taking session by the press.
After the photo session, we then proceed into the hall where the rest of the ceremony is going to take place.

We received blessing from the guest of honor for eternal happiness and prosperity.
After blessing everyone, the guest of honor gave us a speech about the true meaning of life and how to create and maintain a good marriage. Although he is a monk, but he has a great sense of humor that made the usually boring speech into something interesting and inspiring.
After the speech, we then take our oath and a little ceremony of ring exchange. Due to the amount of new couples, everyone just need to exchange at their own little space or corner. So anti-climax….

Finally after the long wait, is our turns to go up into the stage for the last ceremony, putting our signature at the dotted line.
We prayed for good health and happiness for us and our family.
