Shortly after the registration of marriage on 08/08/08, we went to Hongkong for the first time for our honeymoon. We were excited with the well-known of better food and also cheap clothing!, hence our choice. We got our AirAsia ticket relatively cheap and a relative cheap hotel at the center of Yaumatei/Mongkon district, a place known for good food and cheap goods.

We spent 5 days at HK and 1 day at Macau and we also went to Disneyland Hongkong where we spent 1 whole day in the themepark getting sunburn all over..

The public transportation in Hongkong is so wonderful.. I used to go to Singapore a lot since it is near my country and has good public transportation for me to move around Singapore but Hongkong is so much better and bigger! In a way, when I reached Hongkong I felt like being in a bigger Singapore.

Broad MRT coverage!! compare that to Malaysia puny LRT route.. is no comparison!

One thing I notice about Hongkong street, aside from all those Mercedes everywhere, is that their road seem to always consists of small section connected together and always come with lots of manhole very close to each other. I have no idea why…

We purposely chose this hot season in Hongkong to travel there because of their late summer sales. I always heard feedback from friend that G2000 and Espirit is extremely cheap in Hongkong. Oh my… I expected it to be cheaper but you just couldn’t believe how cheap it can be during their Final Sales!!

On average all item from G2k, Espirit, G2Blue, G2K Black Label and etc.. is cheaper by 70% comparing to Malaysia. So, what did I do?? I spent 3 days shopping more than 10 G2k Store, Espirit store around HK! We bought so much clothing it probably can last us at least 4-5 years…
