I accidentally bump into this new restaurant when I was walking around a section in 1U shopping complex which I rarely walk to. It was in the new wing ground floor opposite the Cold Storage. Not sure it is new, but it was the first time I heard of the name and I couldn’t search any local review from blogs in the Internet. The decoration is pretty nice and have a wide varieties of interesting food choices. I was sold by their nicely taken food picture on their signboard.

The pricing of the food is slightly cheaper than those from Chilis or TGIF while at the same time offering similar type of food. At least that what I thought, as those fancy dish names make it look pretty “upper class” and the menu design is very nice.

The environment of the restaurant while not as good as those western restaurant with bar counter, but still look better than your usual fast food joint.

They have an extensive range of beverages from chocolate which seem to be their signature, to coffee, fruiti quenchers, shakes, floats and basic soft drinks.

Their signature Chocolate Velvet with Marshmallow. The chocolate was very smooth.

The Iced Ultra-rich Chocolate Velvet was smooth but I expected stronger chocolate taste since I ordered the Ultra-rich.

Chocolate milk shake with Oreo. Was nice but it would be better if they didn’t blend till all the Oreo is non visible.. I seriously suspecting did the glass actually contains any Oreo..:D

The Lover’s Sunset. And the description on the menu was “Orange juice and cranberry mingle to recreate a beautiful sunset.” It was pretty close don’t you think so…:p

Overall, their beverages is good. However those Chocolate Velvet was kinda little despite the rather high price we are paying for it. And, never order their Rootbeer Float. It was listed as their popular item, but it’s just your usual canned Rootbeer from supermarket. While I don’t expect they manufacture their own Rootbeer, but at least fill the Rootbeer into the glass before serve and hide the can. They are changing a premium over a supermarket RM1 canned drink.:D

Now lets move on their food. Sadly, I must say their food was disappointing, presentation is cheap and ingredient is basic compare to the price we are paying. We ordered some starter, fried calamari was awful and not presentable hence I didn’t bother to capture any picture.

The beef peperoni pizza looks like Giant’s frozen instant pizza reheated for you…*fainted*

The Latino Chicken chop tasted alright but presentation doesn’t make me salivate.

The RM20 beef burger look worst than your typical Ramli’s burger at roadside… I didn’t sample it but I’m judging that piece of cheese on top is those Cheesedale or Kraft..

Warning! Never order any of their cream based pasta. Warning! The Tagliatelle Mushroom Alfredo with Crispy Fish tasted like pasta on milk. The sauce is just too creamy and milky… after few spoon full you are basically done for the rest of the day wishing you never had it.

The tomato based pasta was acceptable. Presentation could be improved.

And finally the dish that I ordered, Chessy Chicken, was the most presentable item on the table. It looks delicious, but tasted pretty bland especially the chicken meat.

We actually ordered many more dishes that I didn’t cover here since there are 11 of us. But those are just bad which I don’t intend to waste any time on it. Their food quality is just not there for the price they are asking. I feel they either need to improved much more or knock down at least 30% off the price for me to revisit them.

I have to thanks my hubby of finished off the creamy pasta that i’ve ordered during our 1st visit :x . actually I was expecting the creamy pasta like carbonara taste, but too bad it wasn’t. 8-|

Overall their food and beverage are over price with such a quality and presentation.

I saw this place and was attracted to the ‘brightness’ of it. I like the deco but heard bad reviews so never bother to try. After reading your review..i lagi strike it off my list.

Actually I thought the place is pretty okay. I’ve been there quite a few times now. Roughly three or four times.

I think their sandwiches are worth it because it’s filling. The side salad is nice :D
Not so about the burgers. Can be rather dry :|
But I thought the Tagliatelle Mushroom Alfredo with Crispy Fish was alright :( I actually liked the taste. But I guess it might be too rich for certain people..

hi bumss, i guess is depending on how you look at it. comparing it with KFC/MCd/BK.. i would think NyNy is not bad.. but with the price, you only need to top up a little bit more and u can have a much better meal in Chilis or TGIF.

the burger being dry i think is because they didn’t ask how you want your meat to be done.. hence all come with Well-Done.. they didn’t ask us too and we also forgotten about it..

did you finish your plate of Alfredo pasta? :d

Oh~ I haven’t eaten at Chilli’s in a long while. Is the food still any good? Cause I think TGIF hasn’t been that well since they changed uniforms. Haha. Which I assumed they changed management or something with that too :( Do you like Carl’s Junior? :D

Hmm~ I think it’s cause they don’t put anything with it. But I’m not sure. You’re right. They never did asked how we wanted the meat to be done.

Yeah :D I actually liked it. So I finished it okay. My friend thought it was good too. But she had the Fish n’ Chips. Which really isn’t to die for. And I’d say THAT is really not worth it. Hahah.
