02NovKoon Kee Wanton Noodle, Uptown

There are many decent Wanton Noodle around and one of it is Koon Kee in Damansara Uptown. I been to this shop many times over the years and there is only 1 reason that I keep returning every once a while.

While this shop doesn’t serve the best overall Wanton noodle, their charsiew is just the traditional style which cannot compare to some of the modern wanton noodle that serve super yummy charsiew and their wanton is just average, but their dumplings is one of the best I tasted. That is main reason I return to this shop everytime.

Their noodle and sauce mixture is not of those traditional style. Depending on your taste, but I find it is okay if you don’t keep reminding yourself that you are eating wanton noodle.

The soup version is also rather yummy.

They have a loyal legion of customers. Each time I went, I saw they just cook non-stop.

They do serve other side dishes too to go with your noodle like chicken leg mushroom and steamed chicken.

oh, not the roast duck….the “braised” duck is found in this shop…

it is brought over from PJ state, the brother of the mix rice/porridge owner.

that PJ State one, open at 6pm, finished selling at 9pm or even before.

i dun really like the textures of the wantan mee especially when it is come in dried. Because the sauce remind me of homemade style 干捞面. But the soup base is much more nicer…..
