28NovI Love Yoo!

Smart or lucky, sometimes you got to give it to those pioneers. Before everyone jump on the kopitiam freenzy, there was only Uncle Lim that pioneer such a simple concept. But now there are so much different brand of kopitiam franchise. And now this, such a simple food porridge and “Yau Jar Kuai” and they successfully making it into a franchise called I Love Yoo!.

I think the concept of offering simple and budget food in shopping mall is a great one. When you go shopping, you only have a choice between expensive food and not so expensive food that is fast food. But sometimes fast food gets boring after so many years.

A set of porridge and “Yau Jar Kuai” only costs less than RM4. That is consider pretty budget inside any shopping malls. I like their “Yau Jar Kuai” as it is freshly made and is soft yet crispy. Just the right texture for me.

And surprisingly the porridge here is extremely tasty. I don’t know how they cook it, they use simple and little ingredients and yet able to produce such a tasty bowl of hot porridge!

They also sell Soya Bean and other fried fritters but I don’t find them anything special. They opening more and more branches everywhere, for PJ area they have it in Pyramid, 1U and also Ikano. Go give it a try!

I had this a few times but I found the yau char kwai a tad oily for me. Porridge is quite nice but a bit too salty for me. If I am not mistaken, the original shop is from Singapore?
