05DecBak Kut Teh at Yap Chuan, Puchong

One of my most favorite food for many reasons, hot and thick herbal soup, meaty, fu-chok!!, lots of garlic and is just a magnificent dish. Recommendation from my colleague, this BKT which is nearby my new office is quite a special one because it was heavily marketed that the cook is only a teenage boy!

Located inside Bandar Puchong Utama, the restaurant has a spacious corner shoplot. Despite being so big, finding an empty table here during lunch hour is so difficult as it was so crowded.

They have both version of the BKT, the dried and the soup. While I usually prefer soup more than dried, I ordered also a dried version because it is what this shop is famous for. One thing I like about here is that they use claypot to serve the BKT which is able to maintain the heat of the dish.

The dried version is very tasty with the right amount of thickness. And if you are lucky, you might have your bowl cooked by the boy!

The soup version is overshadowed by the delicious dried version. To me, the soup is just average. I had much better one at Kelana Jaya.

Another favorite of mine when eating BKT, the fried fu-chok here is not bad.

Overall, the BKT here is above average and I definitely return for more. Make sure to come early if you going for the lunch session.
